Hi, I’m Joe

Thanks for stopping by! I am an actor, voice-over artist, and musician from Cardiff, Wales. I’m based in Bristol in the UK.

Since graduating from Bath Spa University in 2012, I have performed across a wide variety of mediums, including theatre, television, film, video games, and radio.

I began in theatre, with my debut at the Off-West End theatre, The Blue Elephant, with Lazarus Theatre’s adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Since then, I have worked extensively in theatre and film across the country.

The passion I have for theatre also extends to a great love of voiceover work, and I have been fortunate enough over the years to lend my voice to a wide range of audiobooks, radio plays, audio dramas, podcasts, video games, and advertisements.

I am also a classical musician and have played the French Horn in several orchestras. Thankfully, since moving more into acting and performance, I haven’t had to hang up my brass instruments just yet, and I still play in many shows as an actor-musician and in studios as a session musician. As well as the French Horn, I also play the Trumpet, Flugel Horn, Cornet, Guitar, and Ukulele.

I love being able to tell a story, whether that’s on the stage in a Shakespeare play or in a concert hall playing the French Horn.

My favourite plays are King Lear by William Shakespeare and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf by Edward Albee, two plays I’ve been lucky enough to perform in!

My favourite composers are Sergei Rachmaninov and Francis Poulenc, two composers whose music I’ve had the pleasure of playing!

My favourite people are my wonderful wife and my beautiful daughter, and I like to spend my time in nature, tending to my veg patch and chasing the Bristolian foxes away from my potatoes!
